Movie is based on the novel called “Cogan’s Trade” by George V. Higgins released in the year 1974. Well, Brad Pitt acted as Jackie Cogan who is investigating the burglary or rubbery at gun point. Cogan role is to target the mob. He kills the mob from the distance so that he will not have the feeling of embracement when he kills the mob. So, that may be reason for this title of the movie called “Killing Them Softly”.  The movie is not just about the mob, it is also about the economic instability facing by USA and political happening at the background. I can say that movie is not for light hearted people. Movie is filled with crime scene and action sequence.
