“Orange Mittai” written and directed by Biju Viswanath. Produced by Vijay Sethupathi and plays lead role as Elderly Father. Soodhu Kavvum Ramesh Thilak plays equally significant role as Emergency Medical Technician. Arumugam Bala and Aashritha plays a support role. It is basically a road movie, the whole story starts when Ramesh Thilak receives an emergency call from Vijay Sethupathi who has suffered from a heart attack. Rest is about Ramesh who becomes a good son to someone else’s father.
It is a dark comedy movie, boldly touches on the subject which was rarely tried in Cinema. Once again Vijay Sethupathi demonstrated that story is very important than playing a typical hero role and played an elderly role with silver hair and pot tummy. Ramesh Thilak on other side delivered a tremendous performance. The whole movie is combination of drama, comedy and real life circumstances. The title seems to be exactly opposite to the story, it even makes you feel for Ramesh at some scenes.
