“Maatram” is a Tamil Short Film written and directed by Mr. Vivek Jany and Mr. Sukanth Krish. Background music scored by Mr. Kathir Raavan and Editing by Mr. Muthu Raj. Mahatma Gandhi once said “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”. I believe the film has taken this line as an inspiratoin. If you really wanted the whole society to change, first thing one must do is to do self-realization.
The moment you realize your mistake, you will experience a wonderful change in you. You will never stop the change within you, instead you will create same very change in the society. Well that is the baseline of the story. When young chap travels in a crowded bus, some of them really takes advantage by harassing a women. They don’t care or worry for their conduct, but in other hand it really harms women both physically and mentally. But if the same guy realize his blunder and attempts to create change in the society, the same guy will be supported, praised and even portrayed as hero in the society. This “Maatram” has created some wakefulness which is really required. WAHA is an amazing idea, hope this won’t stop here and it has move forward by applying it in real life.
